Building Progress Giving Pictures		Why a Building Project? Temple Baptist School began in 1976 as a result of a vision born in the minds, hearts and prayers of Temple Baptist Church members. Growth over the years has produced a serious need for enhanced facilities. Temple Baptist School has been providing Christian education in the Asheville area for the past thirty years.  Along with the educational aspect, the School has provided athletic activities as well.  However, in all the years of the school’s existence, the students have never had a facility of their own in which to practice and play their games or had a facility for the physical education program during inclement weather.  We’ve had to borrow or rent facilities or those purposes.  Until now.  Ten years ago, the Church and School family purchased property near its main facility.  After the land was paid for, the Church then raised the funds to build a soccer field.  In early March of this year, the Church broke ground for a new family life center/gymnasium on that same property.  Simultaneously, it began a capital campaign to add to the money that had been raised previously. Future plans include building additional classrooms adjacent to the gym for school expansion.
